This was a quick example I threw together of using one of the unallocated verbs in the norn brain to add an 'eat' verb. I've provided a modified GEN file that has a new instinct that rewards the norn if it pushes when the unallocated verb is used. This effectively makes it the same as 'push'. If you teach the norn to use 'eat' as this verb then you can say to one of these norns 'eat food' and it will eat the food.
I mapped the verb to be the same as 'push' otherwise I'd have to create a new decision option as well - which would require COB modifications beyond my abilities. The following files are provided as is for those that would like to be able to use the verb 'eat'. Remember though that eat means push - you can say 'eat toy' and the norn will push the toy. The verb 'push' will continue to work as normal as well.
There are two norn EXP files provided with the new instinct for the 'eat' verb and one gen file containing the instinct. I've also included a modified version of the Wizard COB available from a website maintained by Eric Leif. Check it out for some really great COBs. I've provided this as an example only and I don't have the COB skills to write my own blackboard objects. I only provide the COB file for the modified Wizard - you'll need the sprite and sound files from the original Wizard COB distribution. Norns that know 'eat' are contained within a zip file along with the modified Wizard COB. The 'eat' verb will conflict with any other norns that use the unallocated verb slot for other uses. Currently I don't know of any.
